Zambia U20 beat Lusaka select without three key players

Zambia U20 National team continued their preparation for the 2017 COSAFA U20 Championships with a friendly match against a Lusaka select side. The young Chipolopolo were without influential Nkwazi striker Lameck Banda, Nchanga Ranger’s Martin Njobvu and Prince Mumba of Kabwe Warriors.

Lameck Banda was involved in the Nkwazi vs Zanaco game yesterday were he picked up a knock, Something the technical bench must be hoping is not anything serious.

Njobvu and Mumba are yet to report back to camp after being released for club duties yesterday. Chanda Mukuka scored a brace with Harry Milanzi jr scoring from the spot to easy past the select side.

Clinton Lubala took up the master creator role pulling the strings in midfield. The young Chipolopolo could have scored more goals but Timothy Banda was wasteful upfront.

The only player returned from the U20 AFCON winning squad Ngosa who is now been converted to a centre back was composed in the position giving Lusaka select strikers no room to shoot at goal or even create anything tangible.

Coach Numba Mumamba is expected to name his final 20 man squad tomorrow.
