Arrows miss the chance to go top as Mighty win

Coach Wilson Mwale and his assistant Justin Chinama toast first home league win as “Mighty” Mufulira Wanderers beat Red Arrows 2-1 at Shinde Stadium.

Ghanaian Rahim Osumanu’s goal and Congolese Guily Manziba from the spot set “Mighty” on their way to a sweet victory despite Bruce Musakanya pulling one back for Honour Janza’s side.

Arrows failed to build up on their impressive midweek over Buildcon.

Despite the win Mighty is still in the relagation zone with 10 points while Arrows drop to 7th with 18 points, still within 2 points of leaders Power Dynamos.

In Choma, defender Alex Mwamba rescued a point for Napsa Stars against Green Eagles in a 1-1 draw.

Progress Kalenga put Eagles in front and Greenwell Witika missed the chance to make it 2-0 by spurning a spot kick before Mwamba stroke the equaliser.

Buildcon held Nakambala Leopards 0-0 in Mazabuka and there was a similar scoreline between City of Lusaka and Real Nakonde at Woodlands Stadium in Lusaka.
