League champions Zesco United will be back in league action on Saturday when they host Nkwazi in what will be their second game of the 2016 season.
Zesco passed a tough test in their first league game when they beat Power Dynamos 2 – 1 away from home with goals from Idriss Mbombo and Jesse Were.
The CAF Champions league envoys come into this weekend’s match against Nkwazi on a high after they picked a famous 3 – 1 away win in Africa against Stade Malien in Bamako.
However, with the return leg of the champions league billed for Tuesday 19th April, coach George Lwandamina will have one eye on reaching the group stage of the champions league and this may just see some of the fringe players getting game time.
Simon Silwimba and midfielder Misheck Chaila have already been ruled out of tomorrows game against Nkwazi due injuries sustained in the champions league game in Mali.
Nkwazi will fancy their chances going into this game as they have won away from against Zesco in their last three visits.
Last season Nkwazi won 2 – 1 at Levy Mwanawasa stadium with goals from Muskuma Chipungu and Lottie Nyimbili while Zesco scored through Winstone Kalengo.
League top scorer Steward Chikandiwa who followed up his hat-trick in week four curled home his fourth goal of the season straight from a corner kick when Nkwazi beat Napsa Stars 2 – 0 last weekend.
He will be key in ensuring that Nkwazi sustain the good run which has seen them pick to wins and a draw in the last three games.
Elsewhere, pace setters Nkana FC and Nchanga Rangers who are first and second on the log respectively clash in Kitwe.
Power Dynamos will be in Lusaka to face Lusaka Dynamos.
