Twelve-time Super League Champions, Nkana recorded their first win at home against in the league while KYSA came back from a goal down to beat Kansanshi Dynamos.
Nkana welcomed Zesco United on Saturday at Nkana Stadium a team they had not beaten in almost 15 years at home in the league. Idriss Ilunga Mbombo scored a beautiful free-kick 12 minutes to time to give Nkana their first win at home over Zesco United since their return to the top flight.
The win also puts an end to Zesco United’s good start to the season of going 10 games without tasting defeat.
In Lumwana, Sensational Zanaco were held to a 1-1 draw by the Uranium Boys. Chaniza Zulu put Lumwana in the lead after just 15 minutes but the lead only lasted 3 minutes as Chitiya Mususu pulled the Bankers level.
The two sides could not find the winning goal and settled for a point each.
In Kabwe, A doubleheader came alive at the Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium with KYSA hosting Kansanshi Dynamos while Kabwe Warriors welcomed Napsa Stars.
Former Napsa Stars midfielder Daniel Chama scored a hat-trick as KYSA cruised to a 3-2 win recording only their second win of the season.
In the second match of the day, Napsa Stars were too good for Kabwe Warriors as they beat the Magnificent People’s team 3-1 thanks to goals from Collins Sikombe, Doisy Soko and Laudit Mavugo.
The win takes Napsa Stars to 28 points level on points with leaders Zesco United who have a better goal difference and has played fewer games.
