ZSL Preview: Champions start title defence as Forest welcome Buffaloes

Champions Red Arrows start their title defence on Wednesday with a tricky tie against Muza.

Chisi Mbewe’s side were excused from the opening two matches in league following their involved in the CAF Champions League.

With a date against TP Mazembe in the next round booked, the airmen now turn their attention to the league.

While Muza are yet to record a victory, the Mazabuka based side are not pushovers.

Muza will be without wantaway striker Andrew Phiri while influential captain Kelvin Mwanza and Chipo Sondashi have both left the clubs for Power Dynamos and Green Buffaloes respectively.

Elsewhere in the capital, Aggrey Chiyangi’s Nkwazi host Napsa Stars.

The Pensioners will be hoping to build on their 1-1 draw against Atletico Lusaka on Sunday.

On the Copperbelt, Power Dynamos are expected to beat Indeni in Ndola.

Indeni still has transfer ban imposed by FIFA.

Forest Rangers face Green Buffaloes while Nchanga Rangers will hope to return to winning ways as they host Lumwana Radiants.

In Choma, Green Eagles and Mutondo Stars will clash at Independence Stadium.

On Thursday, Zanaco will host Atletico Lusaka in a mini Lusaka derby at Sunset Stadium.
