ZSL: NAPSA Stars score five on low scoring weekend

NAPSA Stars scored five past Buildcon on a mostly low scoring weekend as Nkana edged Red Arrows at Nkoloma Stadium to move within six points of the top two positions. 


The MTN Super League entered week 27 of action on Saturday afternoon and Nkoloma Stadium was the main act with a double header. 

NAPSA Stars welcomed National Division One bound Buildcon in an early kick off. 

The Pensioners set a brilliant tone for the afternoon as they put five past Benson Mwale in the Team Kopala goal. 

Ghanaian forward Zikiru Adams netted a brace to open his goal account for Perry Mutapa’s team. 

Former National Assembly hitman, Musonda Kapembwa also chipped in with a brace to take his tally for the season to 9 goals. 

Aaron Kabwe completed the demolition of the Builders, 5-0 the match ended. 

In the second match at the same venue, Jacob Ngulube scored the only goal of the game as Nkana edged defending Champions,  Red Arrows 1-0. 

Nkana have now gone seven games without a loss while Arrows’ seven match unbeaten run comes to an end. 

In Mazabuka, Benson Chali scored a rare goal as Kansanshi Dynamos edged FC MUZA at Nakambala Stadium. 

Lumwana Radiants recorded an important win at home beating Chambishi 1-0 thanks to a Josphat Kasusu goal. 

Green Eagles played to a goalless draw with Green Buffaloes while Zanaco held log leaders, Power Dynamos as Prison Leopards and Forest Rangers also ended scoreless at the President Stadium in Kabwe.
