Zambian super league champions Zesco United have been rocked with injuries as they look to reduce the backlog of league games owing to their participation in the CAF Champions league.
Zesco United have reported that up to four players are on the mend joining Nyambe Mulenga who is on a long term rehabilitation with two players, Humphrey Maseneko and Bornwell Silengo returning after long term lay-offs.
According to a medical report released by Team Manager Mabvuto Banda, the players curently receiving medical attention from the medical team are:
Jackson Mwanza (Hamstring injury) He was on medication and started gym last week with the national team Physiotherapist.
Shemmy Mayembe (Groin injury) he was on medication last week and was given time to rest
Lottie Bwalya (Hamstring injury) he was on medication and was given time to rest but he has resumed some light training
Idris Mbombo (Left Shoulder injury)Â he was on medication last week and was given time to rest.
There was however some good news on Maseneko who has fully recovered and has started full time training together wuth Silengo.
The report further states that  Nyambe is still out but was advised to do some extremely light training.
Zesco have a heavy load of games as they have 6 games in hand in the local league and are still in the race for the prestigious CAF CHampions league title.
They face Mamelodi Sundowns on semi finals of the CAF Champions league.
