Zambia’s representatives in the CAF Confederation Cup Sensational Zanaco Football Club registered a 3-1 away win over Cano Sports Academy of Equatorial Guinea Yesterday at the Stade de Malabo.
Sensational Zanaco captain Ziyo Tembo applauded teamwork as the reason behind the win.
“It’s a huge advantage we played to our best looking at the pitch it was heavy but we managed to come up with a good result giving us an advantage going home,” he said.
“What was good is that we worked as a team more especially in transition we did well elevating from attack to defense we can do more at home.”
Despite taking time to settle during the first stanza of the Match due to poor pitch Conditions Ziyo was happy that his side managed to score the important goals and called on the fans to turn up in Numbers in the return leg.
“We don’t know much about this team, we were looking at how they play in order for us to up our game, the pitch was heavy because of the rains but the most important was the win in which we Scored the away goal it is to our advantage now.
” The fans must Come in Large Numbers, we are going to put up a good Performance since will be at home we are going to impose ourselves on them.”
3rd November 2019 is the date that has been set for the return leg to be staged at National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka, Zambia.
