Zesco United forward Amine Hiver has earned an international call-up after being named in Raoul Savoy’s Chad national football team squad for the upcoming 2027 AFCON preliminary round qualifiers against Burundi national football team.
The striker’s inclusion comes on the back of an outstanding run of form for Zesco United, where he has been a key attacking force this season.
Hiver has netted 10 goals in the MTN Super League and boasts an impressive tally of 14 goals across all competitions, underlining his importance to the Ndola-based side.
His performances have not only boosted Zesco United’s domestic campaign but have also caught the attention of the national team setup, earning him a crucial role as Chad looks to secure progression in the AFCON qualification stages.
Hiver will be expected to carry his club form onto the international stage as Chad faces a competitive Burundi side, with both teams aiming to take an early advantage in the preliminary round.
