ZESCO United target Kenyan goalkeeper Opiyo

MTN Super League side ZESCO United are reportedly interested in AFC Leopards SC goalkeeper Levis Opiyo.

Reports in Kenya have linked Opiyo with a move to the nine time Zambian Champions. The 30 year old is currently out of contract at AFC Leopards.

Opiyo is being seen as a replacement for Toaster Nsabata who left the club to join BETWAY Premiership side Sekhukhune United making a return two years after leaving the club.

He joined Babina Noko as a  free agent after his contract at ZESCO United came to an end and  penned a two year deal.

Opiyo has been one of the FKK Kenyan Premier League’s standout goalkeepers in recent seasons.

Opiyo has served Ingwe for the past four years and looks set for a new chapter.

If Opiyo completes the switch he will join a list of Kenyan players who have donned Zesco’s colors, including the successful trio of Jesse Were, Teddy Akumu, and David Owino, as well as Vincent Oburu and Ian Otieno.
