ZESCO United secure ABSA Cup, wins for MUZA, Forest Rangers, Power, Nkwazi and Eagles 

• Log leaders ZESCO United have secured their place in the 2024 ABSA Cup following their hard fought win 
• Freddy Michael scored in his fifth straight match to help Green Eagles to a 2-1 win over Red Arrows
• Nkwazi, Forest Rangers, and FC MUZA all recorded wins. 

The MTN Super League entered week 16 of action on Saturday with a number of interesting matches taking centre stage. 

ZESCO United recorded a hard fought 3-2 win over Trident FC. Enock Sakala Jnr was on target again for Team ya Ziko with John Ching’andu. 

Trident remain winless since their promotion to the top flight. 

At Dola Hill, Goals from Moro Amenu and Quadri Kola gave Forest Rangers a well deserved 2-0 win over Green Buffaloes. 

Green Buffaloes poor run carries on as they have now just recorded a single win in their last eight matches. 

Mwiya Mwiya’s first half strike was enough to hand FC MUZA a narrow 1-0 win over Kansanshi Dynamos and end their five match winless run. 

In Mufulira, Power Dynamos returned to winning ways as they saw off Mighty Mufulira Wanderers, 3-1. 

Kondwani Chiboni put Abayellow in the lead just after five minutes, a goal which was cancelled out by Owen Mwamba in the 31st minute. 

Fredrick Mulambia put Abayellow back in the lead three minutes into the second stanza before Godfrey Ngwenya could seal the win. 

NAPSA Stars and Konkola Blades played to a goalless draw while Nkwazi returned to winning ways with a narrow 1-0 win over Prison Leopards thanks to a Brian Masanyinga first half goal. 

Prison Leopards have now lost their last three matches. 

Green Eagles continued their fine form as they made it eight matches without defeat. 

The Kawale Boys edged Red Arrows 2-1 at Nkoloma Stadium thanks to goals from in-form Freddy Michael and Gift Mwansa while Alassane Diarra netted the consolation goal for the Airmen.
