After mouth watering action from the week seven Super League games, The Zamfoot Crew brings to you the team of the week recognising the best performers from week seven.
Buildcon, Lusaka Dynamos and Zesco United have contributed two players each to the team of the week.
GK: Scot Ngokene – The Kabwe Warriors shot stopper kept a clean sheet against Forest Rangers and an overall good game .
LB: Emmanuel Gora -The Buildcon defender was very composed and offered a lot going forward.
Special mention: Joseph ochaya who had a very good day and was very composed.
RB: Gideon Sichone –Â The Green Buffaloes defender was amazing on the day and stopped many of Lusaka Dynamos attacks on the right wing.
CB: Marcel Kalonda – The Former Kabwe Warriors defender was very composed at the back for Zesco United and chipped with a goal and an assist as Zega cruised to a three goals to one win.
CB: Lombard Tiberius – The Nambia international defender was cool, Calm and collected as Lusaka Dynamos narrowly beat Green Buffaloes and he earned himself a place in our team of the week.
CM: Hosea Silwimba – The Lumwana midfielder was a marvel to watch and gave alot of problems to Zesco Umited in midfield.
WM: George Chaloba – The Parliamentarian midfield was in tip top form as he helped National Assembly to a three goals to two win over Napsa Stars with a brace to his name.
WM: Mwila Phiri – The former Green Eagles midfielder had the woodwork to thank for not topping his wonderful performance with a goal but will lay claim to the assist for the Clatous Chota Chama goal which saw off Green Buffaloes as LD returned to winning ways.
Special mentions: Austin Banda, Kalaba Chikwanda, John Chin’gandu, Chisamba Lungu and Bondo Pungi all performed well and deserve recognition.
WA: Lazarous Kambole – The in-form Zesco United striker provided the assist for Jesse Jackson Were’s goal and got on the end of Marcel Kalonda’s through ball to net Zesco’s third. He had a veru good game and might have added a second to his name but the ball went narrowly wide.
WA: Jonathan Manongo – The Green Eagles attacker had a fantastic game claiming two of the four goals Green Eagles scored as they thrashed KYSA four nil.
Special mention: Joseph Mwandilila of New Monze Swallows . He gave Buildcon defenders all sorts of problems and scored a goal.
ST: Rahim Osumani – The Ghanian striker scored a brace to help Buildcon to their first win of the season and held the ball well upfront also gave New Monze Swallows defenders alot of problems.
Player of the week:
Lazarous Kambole – Apart from his goal and assist , He was just fantastic on the day hence the Zamfoot crew vote him as the player of the week.
Coach of the week:
Dan Kabwe – The former Power Dynamos tactician masterminded the downfall of Green Buffaloes to end their undefeated streak of six games.
