Zesco United has opened a two-point lead at the summit of the Zambia Super League table following a hard-fought 1-0 win over Prison Leopards this afternoon at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
Former Nkana captain Donashano Malama scored the only goal of the game in the 25th minute to seal a hard-fought win and send Zesco United to the summit with 14 points after 8 games.
High Flying Nkwazi edged Indeni 1-0 thanks to a late goal by midfielder Stephen Mutama and move to 4th place on the log.
Sensational Zanaco’s inconsistency continued this afternoon as they moved from a six-star side that trashed Young Green Eagles 6-1 to a disjointed side.
Wilmore Haatembo scored the only goal of the game as Buildcon cruised to a 1-0 win over Sensational Zanaco.
Elsewhere, Young Green Eagles finally got their first win of the season as they edged Green Buffaloes 1-0 thanks to a powerful header by Adamson Mulao at Khosa Stadium.
