ZESCO United host Prison Leopards as they look to cut Arrows’ lead

MTN Super League defending champions, Zesco United will be looking to reduce the gap between them and log leaders Red Arrows when they host Prison Leopards this afternoon.

Zega Mambo are second on the log with 48 points, eight adrift of log leaders, Red Arrows.

Prison Leopards on the other hand are desperate to end a five match winless run. A win for the Collect Boys will see them leapfrog Nkwazi into 12th place.

ZESCO United have dominated this fixture winning four of the five previous meetings between the two teams.

In 2019, Leopards came close to beating ZESCO United at their turf when Saviour Nkonkola scored two quick goals in the 20th and 22nd minutes respectively but Zega Mambo hit back with five goals to end the game 5-2.

Nkokola later made a switch to ZESCO United but his stint in Ndola was unsuccessful and he is back on the books of the Collect Boys now.

2017 U-20 AFCON winner Conlyde Luchanga is expected to lead the Prison Leopards charge for victory with Landu Miete and Francis Zulu providing the creative spark for the Albert Kachinga coached outfit.

ZESCO United will look to veteran Winston Kalengo and youngster Enock Sakala Jnr for the goals.

ZESCO United will this afternoon host Prison Leopards in a rescheduled week 28 of the MTN Super League fixture at the Levy Mwanawasa stadium in Ndola, kick off : 15:00hrs.

Prison Leopards Predicted XI: Patrick Chooma, Francis Deborah, Freddy Mushindi, Langson Kapumbu, Dumisani Mwanza, Stanley Umukoro, Damiano Phiri, Landu Miete, Francis Zulu, Junior Zulu, Conlyde Luchanga.
