CAF CC: Zanaco off to Cairo for a dead rubber match

Zambia’s representative in the CAF Confederation Cup will leave for Cairo, Egypt this evening ahead of Sunday’s clash against Pyramids.

The Bankers are already out of the Competition but would want to end their journey on a positive note. The Bankers will leave for Cairo, Egypt from the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport at 20:00hrs.

Zanaco is unbeaten in the last three games winning the last two which is the first time they have managed back-to-back wins since November last year.

Their last visit to the 30 June Stadium was in 2020 and the Bankers recorded an impressive 1-0 win over Pyramids thanks to a Roger Kola strike.

Pyramids on the other hand have already sealed their place in the next round but could finish top with a win over Zanaco.

Moses Phiri who is the Bankers top goalscorer this season will lead the Bankers for the trip to Cairo as they look to maintain their good form at the 30 June Stadium.

Kelvin Kaindu’s men will have to dig deep to get anything from this game as Pyramids FC have only suffered two home defeats in their last 15 games.
