Zesco United Football Club promotes six players from its developmental teams

Zesco United Football Club has revealed that six out of the 32 players from its developmental teams who underwent trials in Ndola have been graduated to the club’s main team.

The players who have been promoted are 18-year-old striker Emmerson Kabwe, 26-year-old Gilbert Tembo both from Zesco Malaiti Rangers, and Thomas Mubita an attacking midfielder from Zesco Victoria Falls.

Others are Willard Nkausu from Zesco Malaiti Rangers, Victor Chanda, and Mutale Sangwani from ZESCO United youth team. This is a shift in the Zesco United’s recruitment policy with developmental teams providing five of their best players for a week-long trial.

ZESCO United Football Club management recently held trials in Ndola aimed at giving the club’s technical bench an opportunity to appreciate the budding talent emerging from the team’s developmental structures.
