Super League Champions, Zesco United and Nkana who dropped into the CAF Confederation Cup from the CAF Champions League after losing in the first round.
Zesco United suffered their fate at the hands of DR Congo giants TP Mazembe following a 2-1 aggregate loss while Nkana gave up a 3-1 aggregate lead to lose 4-3 at the hands of Tanzanian out-fit Simba SC.
The two Zambian teams are among the seven seeded teams and have been placed in pot A. This means the two will get drawn against any of the team teams in pot D.
Despite being seeded the two may still get tough encounters with South Africa PSL side Kaizer Chiefs and Ghanaian side Asante Kotoko are placed in pot D.
Others teams in pot D are A. Petroleos (ANG), Hassania Agadir (MAR), Rangers (NGA), Salitas FC (BFA), FC San Pedro (CIV), New Stars (CMR), Mukura Victory (RWA) and NA Hussein Dey (MOR).
The event will take place on Friday, 28 December 2018 at the Nile Ritz-Carlton in Cairo, Egypt at 18H00 local time (16H00 GMT).
