Zambia’s representatives in the CAF Champions League Zesco United will miss three key players when they travel to Mali for the second round of the CAF Champions League against Stade Malien.
Clatous Chama, David Owino and Ben Adama Bahn all who have been key in Zesco’s progress to the pre-group stage round will be out of action due to suspension.
The brutalizing 2 – 0 loss to Horoya in Guinea in the second round did not serve the Zambian champions well as they lost Chama to a red card while the other two have received two yellow cards in the in the competition so far.
Despite the three players having played all the four Champions League Zesco has played in so far, coach George Lwandamina will have enough cover in all areas though the quality the three players bring cannot be overlooked.
Mwape Mwelwa looks an able replacement in the wide areas for Chama while Kondwani Mtonga who has returned from injury looks an to be an able replacement for Bahn.
Kenyan Owino has been the bedrock of the Zesco defense but it will be a chance for Benard Mapili or Emmanuel Mayuka to step up to the challenge as Zesco will be looking at getting a result in Mali.
Emmanuel mayuka is at zesco?
Yes,the defender not the famous striker.Another.
Yes get an away goal then bury the game here. #mighty supporters wish u well in CAF bt not in the ZPL lol
