Eden University Women’s Super League log leaders ZESCO Ndola Girls have opened a 14 point lead at the Summit following their 22nd win of the season.
The Zegalicious Girls edged ZISD 1-0 thanks to a Fridah Kabwe lone strike scored in the eleventh minute.
The win takes the William Zulu coached side to 69 points, 14 more than second placed Red Arrows who host defending Champions Green Buffaloes Women’s Football Club tomorrow at Nkoloma.
Elsewhere, Ruth Ngoma scored the only goal of the game as Kamfisa Police Blue Eagles saw off Trident Queens 1-0.
In Chingola, Nchanga Rangers Queens continued their rejuvenation as they beat struggling Play It Forward 2-1.
2024 COSAFA Women’s Championship winner Lungowe Namasiku opened the scoring in the 24th minute before Roness Mutumba could level matters in the 72nd minute.
Tricia Mabamba put the hosts back in the lead in the 79th minute and the goal proved to be the match winner as the Charity Nthala coached side walked away with maximum points.
