ZESCO Ndola Girls have opened a four point lead following their eighth win of the season while ZISD Women gave away a two goal lead and a chance to record their first win of the season as they were held to a 2-2 draw.
At Edwin Imboela Stadium, Last seasons’ Golden boot winner Penelope Mulubwa netted a hat-trick to help ZESCO Ndola Girls thump Nkwazi Queens 5-1 away at Edwin Imboela Stadium.
Mulubwa put Zegalicious in the lead in the opening two minutes and doubled the lead 21 minutes later.
Mila Milambo joined the party with a third just before halftime.
In the second half Zegalicious continued to dominate but against the run of play following a defensive mix up, Esther Phiri scored to reduce the deficit eight minutes into the second stanza.
Thadiwe Ndhlovu restored the three goal cushion with the help of the goalkeeper in the sixty third minute before Mulubwa could seal her treble and the win for Zegalicious.
The win takes ZESCO Ndola Girls to 24 points and they have opened a four points lead at the summit of the Eden University Women’s Super League.
In Chipata, ZISD Women almost recorded their first win of the season away at DK Stadium as they went up 2-0 against Chipata Girls with goals from Jennifer and Mulenga Kalanda.

However late goals from Jessica Mwale and Rosemary Sakala rescued a point for Chipata Girls.
At Nchanga Stadium, Kamfinsa Police Blue Eagles came from a goal down to beat Nchanga Rangers Queens 2-1.
Namwila Mwaka scored an own goal after a brilliant Nelia Ngulube cross but goals from Namakau Mwangala and Happy Machayi gave Kamfinsa a narrow 2-1 win.
