ZESCO gaffer credits his players for League triumph

ZESCO Ndola Girls head coach William Zulu has given his players all the credit for the club’s maiden Women’s Super League triumph.

Zulu says the players worked hard from the very first day to the last day of the season.

He revealed the secret for the Ndola based outfit’s amazing  season that saw them go unbeaten the whole campaign, winning 31 games and only drawing 3.

“This season was not easy for us. I always say there is no small team in this league , you just have to work hard,” he said.

“I salute the girls , they have done well, from day one to the last day. I am so happy for them.”

“The secret is training, if you plan well, you will get good results,” he added.

Zulu has hinted on new acquisitions for the Zegalicious Girls ahead of their CAF Women’s Champions League COSAFA Qualifiers campaign.

He has also advised his players not to relax just because they have won the league as the real work has only begun.

“I need to work on the central defense and the midfield. There we have a bit of a challenge,” Zulu told the ZamFoot Crew.

“Every team at the moment needs some reinforcements, you need to create competition in the team. Some players who have not performed well might be sent on loan and then we reinforce with one or two players.”

“I would advise them to keep on working hard. We should not go and sleep because we have won the league. There is COSAFA coming soon. We have to go and rest a bit and come back to work to prepare,” he added.
