Zesco could be docked points for fielding unregistered players against Blades

Zambian Premier League are set to dock Zesco United points for fielding unregistered players over the weekend, the ZamFoot Crew can exclusively reveal.

The ZamFoot Crew understands that new signings including Zachariah Chilongoshi, Pepo Ifiinto and Chijoeke Alaekwa are the players in question.

“It is shocking that a big club like Zesco can fail to register players on time,” a ZamFoot Crew source in Ndola.

The 9 time Zambian Champions are likely to be docked points with Konkola Blades set to be awarded the 3 points.

The Ndola giants were held to a goalless stalemate by Konkola Blades in the opening fixture of the season.

Zesco United will feature in the CAF Confederations Cup.

The 2016 CAF Champions League semi finalists will face Gabonese Army sponsored FC 105 in the preliminary stage.

Mutondo Stars will host Zesco United this Saturday in the league.
