The Eden University Women’s Super League entered week 22 of action this weekend and it was ZESCO Ndola Girls and Green Buffaloes who made headlines as they scored a combined 27 goals.
The log leaders, ZESCO Ndola Girls thrashed Play It Forward 17-1 in the biggest scoring game of the weekend.
Penelope Mulubwa scored seven goals and Fridah Mukoma netted four as the duo starred in the big win.
Avell Chitundu, Marjory Mulenga, Ruth Mukoma, Fridah Kabwe , Thandiwe Ndhlovu and Elizabeth Mupeso each contributed a goal.
Earlier in the day, Green Buffaloes humiliated Nkana Queens 10-0 at Arthur Davies Annex Pitch in Kitwe.
In-form Natasha ‘Little Tasha’ Nanyangwe scored a hat-trick and contributed three assists as she put in a brilliant performance.
Maylan Mulenga netted a hat-trick, Maweta scored a brace while Evarine Susan Katongo assisted three goals as well as netting one herself.
Elsewhere, Mercy Chipasula scored a brace to guide Kamfisa Police Blue Eagles to a 2-1 over Choma Warriors.
Nkwazi Queens and Green Eagles played to a goalless draw.
On Sunday, Red Arrows successfully navigated a late scare as they saw off Trident Queens 3-1.
Bupe Banda, Mary Mambwe and Aliness Kasoma scored a goal each as Arrows cruised to a comfortable win.
At Independence Stadium, Regina Chanda scored a brace as ZANACO Ladies edged ZISD 2-1.
Nchanga Rangers Queens saw off Elite Ladies 3-0 while Police Dove Queens got the better of YASA Queens 2-1.
At Shamuel Academy, Indeni Roses edged Luyando Foundation Girls 2-1.
