Zambia U17 Women’s National Team head coach Carol Kanyemba has named a 23 member squad for the back to back 2024 U17 FIFA Women’s World Cup Second Round qualifiers.
Blessings Zangose Zulu leads the squad that has been named by the Green Buffaloes Women’s Football Club assistant coach and her technical bench.
The Pataaki Girls star forward is among the most promising talents on the local scene and already has a silver and gold medal at COSAFA level.
Other notable players in the squad include Elite Ladies Saliya Mwanza, Green Buffaloes’ Namute Bwalya Chileshe, YASA Queens duo of Taonga Mubanga and Harriet Matipa.
Luyando Foundation Girls’ Margaret Gondwe is also part of the squad.
Zambia will face Tanzania on Saturday 3 February, 2024 in the 2024 U17 FIFA Women’s World Cup Second Round, First Leg Qualifier match set for Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka at 15h00.
Zambia will travel for the away fixture a week later. The winner over two legs will face Uganda or Cameroon in the third round.
