Zanaco extended their lead on the FAZ Super Division table after they humiliated Napsa Stars with a 4 – 0 scoreline in a game played at Sunset stadium.
The Bankers fresh from a vital win over perennial title contenders during a midweek game played some exciting football with some swift attacks which the pensioners failed to contend with.
Ziyo Tembo, Matthews Macha, Henry Banda and substitute Augustine Mulenga were all on target to give Zanaco maximum points as they moved to the top of the log 3 ahead of second placed Zesco.
Napsa who had the meanest defence last season have now conceded the most goals (12) upto this point in the league.
Second placed Zesco United were made to work for their money when they shook off a fierce challenge from troubled Red Arrows who are just hovering over the relegation zone with a 3 – 2 win.
Jackson Mwanza, consistent Winstone Kalengo and Humphrey Maseneko were on target for Zesco while Evans Musonda and Festus Mbewe scored for Arrows.
Mighty Mufulira Wanderers got a point off Power Dynamos who have now dropped into third position while Wanderers remain in 7th position after a 1 – 1 draw. Jimmy Ndhlovu scored the equaliser for Power to take his personal tally to four as he leads the top scorers chart.
Green Eagles remain unbeaten in the league but failed to win at home against Nkana who are in a dismal 10th position.
Eagles joined Power, Konkola Blades and Nkwazi who are all on 10 points and only separated on goal difference.

Zanaco starting off well. great scole line. its impressive for Zega mambo n power yet to show character fili uko tuleya. good attendance at power’s Arthur Davis Staduim.
Did anyone watch these games so they can give us a ka synopsis
@Positive Thinking I was at the Power v Mighty match…. Mighty had a game plan which they executed very well, they never allowed Power to play their usual game because they knew they would get beaten if they did… they used all sorts of delaying tactics just to drop Power’s tempo which worked well cause Power became frustrated & ran out of ideas. I was impressed with mighty’s creative players they have good wingers which is well supported by the midfield… all in all good match! Am a Power fan but I would say watch out for mighty if you under rate them they will walk all over you
Nicholas Kamota is a quick harworking winger for Mighty!
Kmocha not Kamota i think…
Thanks Dynamite. It sounds like Mighty coach tried to pull a Mourinho. That sounds amazingly boring, but also very smart. Power also look like they are going to be a force to reckon with this season.
League yakosa, just like COSAFA.
its still early days. zesco will soon be at the top followed by power dynamos
Poor reporting
Zambian premier league is becoming like Kenyan premier league.
