Most teams make their home grounds a fortress but this season, The Bankers, Zanaco have found the going tough at their own backyard.
The seven time Super League Champions are yet to record a win at home and now welcome rejuvenated Lumwana Radiants.
Kelvin Kaindu’s men are winless in their last four matches while Bilton Musonda’s side have not suffered a defeat in their last three matches.
Kaindu is however confident this is the match his side will use to turn their fortunes and record their first home win.
“We host Lumwana Radiants tomorrow and we want to start picking up maximum points when we are playing at home. It is an important game as we are coming from two draws in a row,” he said.
“In all the games we have played,we’ve been creating chances but failing to convert and it’s being worked on. If only we can start converting the chances then well and good. I am certain that we will see some change in tomorrow’s game.”
“Lumwana is a threat and is here to compete,we are very focused. Complacency and approach has been worked on and we are ready,” he added.
Zanaco will be without a number of players Captain Kevin Owusu who is serving a one match suspension, Isaac Shamujompa and Eric Owusu who are nursing minor knocks while Wilson Chisala and Dalitso Phiri are in camp with the Zambia Men’s U23 National Team and will not be available for the Lumwana showdown.
Kaindu has named newcomer Francis Mustafa who has joined the team from Coastal Union in Tanzania in the squad to face Lumwana.
Lumwana will be searching for their first win at Sunset Stadium and only their second win against ZANACO in eleven meetings.
A win for the hosts will see them move further away from the relegation zone while a win for Lumwana could see them break into the top four.
