Zanaco have extended their lead at the summit of the Super Division log after they beat Red Arrows 2 – 0 at home to take advantage of Zesco United’s loss at home to Nkwazi in that the other rescheduled fixture played on Wednesday afternoon.
Zanaco who now remain as the only unbeaten team in the league went ahead in the 43rd minute when U23 striker Moses Phiri opened the scores with his first goal of the campaign.
Aubbrey Funga added a second for Zanaco in the 56th minute to ensure maximum points for the Bankers.
In Ndola, high flying Nkwazi moved up to third on the log as they recovered from a home loss to Forester Rangers to beat title favorites Zesco.
Lottie Nyimbili and Chipungu Musukuma scored for the Police Outfit while veteran Winstone Kalengo scored for Zesco who had their Assistant coach Tenant Chembo sent off.

John and others-just to let you know that Zambia National Team were at Sunset for the Zanaco-Arrows game and the following are in camp-Mayuka, Lubambo Musonda and Evans Kangwa.
Ladies and gentlemen, have you seen the team list released by Janza for AFCON qualifiers on FAZ websire/ facebook page and that of Nkhweto Tembwe? Faz and Nkhweto have not released anything, I just saw the list first on Supersport and then on Zamfoot website. Is that list authentic I wonder? I’d be happy to know that its not coz it lacks depth upfront. We don’t need kula Jackson Mwanza but Kola, Singuluma, Kangwa, Lubambo,Mayuka, Jacob Mulenga and Mbesuma. Jacob and Mbesuma rerely miss chances when given.
Lusaka teams are on fire this season and I’m sure they are determined not only to win the Barclays Cup but also to play continental football. On the top four teams on the log only one is from kopala. Nkwazi hav oways been visitors in the premere league but ths season they are title contenders even beating zega! Go Nkwazi, with consistency you can play continental football. Continue beating title contenders like Zega, Zanaco, Power, Wanderers, Blades,Nkana and Buffaloes.
Would be VERY interesting to see how many Lusaka teams will remain in top four at the end of the season (when week 30 games are played) !
It is confirmed that Lubambo, Kangwa and Mayuka are in camp preparing for Ethiopia friendly. Now we need Kola and Singuluma.
Goodnews to hear that, Lubambo MUSONDA,Kangwa EVANS are back, next we want to hear that the so called Coach has been shown the door.U see guys very soon we will be used to loose to useless teams like ;Namibia,Malawi then expect Ethiopia .
