Zanaco drop to fifth place after loss to Buildcon

The Bankers, Sensational Zanaco have dropped to fifth place following a 2-0 defeat away in Ndola.

Kelvin Kaindu’s men made a trip to Ndola for a rescheduled week 25 match against Buildcon.

Zanaco were looking to maintain their unbeaten run in 2022 in the Super League while Buildcon were looking to get back to winning ways.

The hosts however were in the lead just 14 minutes into the match, 14’
Lubinda Mundia beating Lawu far left post, thanks to his great composure and first touch in the box, 1-0.

Buildcon doubled the lead at the half hour mark, Christopher Chola with a fine lob over Lawu who tried to go for a floating ball.

Kaindu made a triple change two minutes later with Chisamba Lungu, Salulani Phiri and Boyd Musonda withdrawn for John Mwewa, Kelvin Kapumbu and Felix Bulaya but they could not help change the result as Buildcon held on to win the match, 2-0.

Zanaco drops to 5th position following the loss as Nkana returns to 4th place. Buildcon moves up to 11th while Nyanya Boys Green Buffaloes drop down 11th.
