Bolton City Youth Football Club of Mauritius crashed out of the ongoing CAF Confederation Cup Campaign after a 3-0 loss to the Zambian premier league side Zanaco Football Club at National Heroes Stadium on Saturday.
Speaking to the Zamfoot Crew after the match, Bolton City Head Coach Thomas Jerome Congratulated Zanaco and admitted that they deserved to go through to the playoff round.
“Congratulations to Zanaco for the Victory, Zanaco was so strong for us we knew that before the match but for us, its has given us experience in the preliminary round that will help us to grow for the future, Congratulations to Zanaco once more they deserve it,” he said.
Jerome believes the experience from the CAF Confederation Cup will help Bolton City as they head back home and focus on the local league. He went on to advise the bankers to be more Clinical upfront.
“It was our first time to participate in this kind of Competition so it will help us to archive our target for winning the Mauritian premier league for this season,Zanaco is a very Strong Team which plays good football though they would have scored more than three goals so they must work on the finishing,” he said.
A 5-1 Score on Aggregate was the Final scoreline in both Legs, Zanaco will have to wait for their next opponent in the playoff stage of this Competition. The draw for the two competitions will be held on Wednesday, 9 October 2019, at the Hilton Pyramids Resort (6th October City) at 19H00 local time (17H00 GMT).
