The Zambia U17 Women’s National Team will find out their group stage opponents for the 2025 COSAFA U17 Girls Championship when the official draw is conducted live in Johannesburg on Thursday, 9 April at 11h45.
The draw, which will be streamed live on COSAFA’s YouTube Channel and Facebook page, sets the stage for another exciting edition of the regional showpiece that will take place from May 8–17 in Windhoek, Namibia.
Carol Kanyemba’s Copper Princesses head into the tournament as defending champions, having delivered a record-breaking performance in the 2024 final where they thrashed Lesotho 15-0 to clinch their second COSAFA U17 title.
That result not only confirmed their dominance but also cemented Zambia’s status as the most successful team in the tournament’s history.
Kanyemba and her technical bench will be closely watching the draw as they begin plotting the team’s path toward a potential third title.
