Konkola Blades win promotion

Konkola Blades FC has become the first team to qualify to the MTN Super League for the 2025-26 season following Wednesday’s goalless draw against Jumulo FC.

Blades have moved to 63 points, with three games remaining, while Trident, which is fifth placed has 51 points after they were held to a stalemate by Riverplate.

Kansanshi Dynamos will now just need a win from their remaining three games to seal promotion after a draw with Kitwe United.

Leopards Hill played to a 1-1 draw with Aguilar Stars to remain in the league but they need to win all the remaining three fixtures to standard a chance of surviving relegation and dropping even a single point will mean relegation for them.

Elsewhere, Ndola United edged Chipata United in a five goals thriller.

Mines United boosted their chances of promotion to the Super League following a hard fought 2-1 win over Kafue Eagles.
