Zambia placed in Pot 2 for 2025 AFCON draw 

The Zambia National Team has been placed  in Pot Two of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers draw set for Thursday, 4th July 2024 (Today).

Chipolopolo are in the pot with Cape Verde, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Gabon, and Equatorial Guinea. 

Benin, Angola , Uganda, Namibia, Mozambique and Madagascar complete the pot. 

Meanwhile the continental heavyweights , Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, Ivory coast, Nigeria, Tunisia, Algeria, Cameroon, Mali, South Africa, DR Congo and Ghana are in Pot 1 with Zambia set to be grouped with one of them.

Set to take place in Johannesburg today at 14h30 Local Time (12h30 GMT), the draw will see a total of 48 African nations engaged to determine who qualifies for the 35th edition of the biggest event on African soil.

Here are the Africa Cup Qualifiers Seeding Pots.

POT 1: Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Tunisia, Algeria, Cameroon, Mali, South Africa, DR Congo, Ghana 

POT 2: Cape Verde, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Zambia, Benin, Angola, Uganda, Namibia, Mozambique, Madagascar 

POT 3: Kenya, Mauritania, Congo, Tanzania, Guinea-Bissau, Libya, Comoros, Togo, Sudan, Sierra Leone, Malawi, Central Africa Republic

POT 4: Niger, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, Gambia, Burundi, Liberia, Ethiopia, Botswana, Lesotho, Eswatini, South Sudan, Chad
