Zambia’s June opponents in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier Guinea Bissau are ranked 40 in Africa while Kenya trail Zambia in position 34.
Congo are 49th in the world and 10th in Africa.

Zambia is such a poor country I’m even ashamed that I was born in zambia. We are so poor we can’t afford a decent technical bench even after our pathetic local coaches have all failed. Keeping janza’s shows zambia is one of the poorest countries in africa. No wonder our expatriates keep running to xenophobic and racist countries poverty is just too much at home. A big shame really.

That is not true, Bodosqi . Yes, Nigerians brag when things are going well. They also tear the nation apart, most times along tribal lines when the going gets tough . This is in the psyche of mankind, & Tje Nigeria populace is no exception.

An expatriate coach does not mean the problems are over. There is a lot of work for Zambia to do in terms of football like improving the local league.
The problem is not the coach alone but players too as well as technical team at Faz.The fields of play have not improved and you go to nice field that brings a defeat psychologically.Players from local league play with few fanzi and taken to big stadia with thousands of soccer fans what do expect?its a problem with you soccer fan who like talking not contributing by watching a match.I think a lot of problems are at play why we arenot doing fine.Zambia has been number 1 before on Fifa Ranking in 1996 may be to 1997.

@ john its not about poverty when Zambia was abject poverty they managed to build the best team in Africa . The was tipped as favorites to qualify at the world cup. Some they went exaggerate that Zambia was goin to win world cup. Zambian football it has reached a turning point . Imagine all the teams qualified to play at continental level . We didn’t fail but results is which comes after sweating for a long time . Lets work with the little we have we heading the right direction .
