Zambia 4-3 Senegal Player Ratings: Kemuka masterclass, Chibwe unconvincing again

Zambia stormed the finals of the Cosafa Cup after defeating the West Africans.

The Copper Bullets will now face Namibia in Sunday’s final at Moses Mabhida in Durban.

Cyril Mwenya Chibwe – 5/10 – The jury is still out there for the new Zesco United. He was caught off the line one of the goals.

As for the final, he needs to start but the 29 year old should up his game.

  1. Thanks, Guys at Zamfoot for the Player Ratings.

What a fantastic game this was to watch. 7 goals thriller !!. Zambia played well despite letting Senegal fight back last 12 minutes or so.
    1. Kelvin Kapamba was def the best player on the pitch. He’s been with the seniour team for a while now. But Patrick Gondwe and Ricky Banda caught my eye. I’m looking at the future for Zambia. Gondwe was impressive behind Kelvin for me he was Zambia 2nd best player. He run the midfield, and his link-up play with Prince Mumba was good. Check the 3rd goal for Zambia. He is a gem. Banda did not get many chances but he held the ball well and used his physicality to his advantage. Still has a lot to learn. Mutale the sub looked promising also.
2, Our Central defense has to be sorted out. All the 3 goals Senegal scored were from the Center. A big area of concern.
    3. Cyril Chibwe had a howler of a game. I would not drop him because of one game. Look at some of the games he has played. He has done well. We can’t crucify him just because of this 1 game. Toaster Tsabata also was not convincing against Comoros but we should start against Lesotho in the AFCON Qualifiers. It would be a risk to start a novice in goals in a Cup Final. @Mukuka I hear you bro. Zambia will never have another Kennedy Mweene or Efford Chabala again. Lets work with what we have and make them better,

  2. The goal- keeper should NOT leave goal post which resulted in one of the goals.
The entire team worked hard but relaxed TOO MUCH hence the 4-3 aggregate.

  3. GK making costly mistakes.
In the 94th minute was beaten at the near post, through his legs the ball hit the far post and miraculously bounced back into play…any other day that would have been a 4-4 scoreline. (We had the luck ,for a change).
Was also beaten previously from the halfway line against South Sudan, of all teams.
In the QF against Zebras looked very silly with his chatting ,trying to unnerve the Zebras in the penalty shootout. Didn’t even drive the right way for 5 shots ….didn’t save a thing …except maybe R2 airtime when Kennedy Mwenee might have called to cal m him down.
-on another note…the way the team is scoring for fun…Namibia don’t have a chance, med.
    Good luck gentlemen!!!
