Former Zambia U17 Women’s National Team midfielder Inonge ‘De Bruyne’ Muyamwa was the star of the weekend as she helped ZANACO Ladies to an emphatic win.
Rhoda Mwape also a game to remember for Kamfinsa Police Blue Eagles.
We now look at the players who impressed for their respective clubs in week 9 of the Eden University Women’s Super League.
GK; Cynthia Mushili ( Nchanga Rangers Queens) – Cynthia Mushili kept a clean sheet and made some crucial saves as Nchanga Rangers Queens secured an important win away to Green Eagles.
Mushili gets the nod in goal for us.
LCB: Doreen Mwaseba ( Red Arrows Women) : The Red Arrows Women defender put in a solid shift and also got a goal for her team.
She helped the Airwomen to a 3-1 win over Nkwazi Queens.
CB :Thelma Chela ( ZANACO Ladies) – The lanky defender put in a good shift for the Lady Bankers who cruised to a 5-1 win over ZISD.
She was key at the back and also scored a free kick.
RCB- Patricia Lampi ( National Assembly)- Lampi is slowly regaining her form she was known for at YASA Queens. She was solid at the back and scored the goal for National Assembly in their 1-1 draw with Luyando Foundation Girls.
DMF: Lubasi Pumulo ( ZANACO Ladies) – The diminutive midfield ace was again in her element controlling the tempo in the middle of the pack.
She was also on target.
RMF : Tisilile Lungu ( ZANACO Ladies) -The busybody was again heavily involved and gave ZISD Women a tough time.
She also scored the opener 43 seconds into the match.
LMF : Rhoda Mwape ( Kamfinsa Police Blue Eagles) – The midfielder put up a game to remember as she scored a brace to guide Kamfinsa Police Blue Eagles to a 2-1 win over Amazing Grace.
She stepped up in the absence of Mercy Chipasula who is out in Morocco with the Copper Princesses.
AMF ; Inonge Muyamwa ( ZANACO Ladies) – The former Pataaki Girls midfielder put in her best match yet for the Lady Bankers helping them to a 5-1 win over ZISD Women.
Muyamwa started slowly but came alive and showed what she is made of to play a big part in the win.
She makes it to the ZamFoot Crew Best XI for the very first time.
LCF: Lungowe Namasiku ( Nchanga Rangers Queens) – The former ZISD captain scored the only goal of the game as Nchanga Rangers Queens secured a rare win away in Lusaka.
Namasiku was vital for the Chingola based outfit and put in a shift and a half to secure the win.
RCF: Mary Mambwe ( Red Arrows Women) – Mary Mambwe is slowly taking charge at Red Arrows Women and putting in another good shift.
She also scored a goal to add to her tally. She has been important for the Daniel Sibande coached side.
CF; Ruth Muwowo ( Amazing Grace) – Despite her team losing, Ruth Muwowo put in a good shift troubling the Kamfinsa Police Blue Eagles defense.
She also scored the consolation goal for the visitors.
