Players Abroad; Mutandwa, Fashion, Chisala and Ricky Chanda on targetĀ 

A number of Zambian players plying their trade outside were in action over the weekend with mixed results. 

Fashion Sakala ended a seven game goal drought in the league while  Kingston Mutandwa scored a brace to lead his side to a win.

Former Atletico Lusaka forward Benjamin Chisala and defender Ricky Chanda scored a goal each in NƵmme United’s big win.

In Austria, Kingston Kingston Mutandwa came off the bench to score a brace and lead SV Ried to a 2-1 win over Wolfsberger AC. 

Mutandwa has now made 6 goal contributions for SV Ried so far this season (5 goals and an assist).

In the Czech Republic; Benson Sakala played the first 45 minutes in Bohemians narrow 1-0 loss to Viktoria Pizen. 

In Denmark, Edward Chilufya missed FC Midtjylland’s big 5-1 win over Vejle. 

In England, Patson Daka came off the bench to play the last 31 minutes in Leicester City’s 1-1 draw at home against Portsmouth in the English Championship. 

In Estonia; Benjamin Chisala and Ricky Chanda scored a goal each as NƵmme United thrashed Tartu Tammeka 6-0 to maintain their stay at the summit of the Esiliiga. 

In Germany, Lubambo Musonda put in a full shift for FC Magdeburg who were held to a goalless draw by Darmstadt. 

In Italy; Lameck Banda was a second half substitute for US Lecce in their goalless draw against Sassuolo. 

In Israel; Klings Kangwa put in a full shift for Hapoel Be’er Sheva who suffered their first loss of the 2025/2026 Israeli Premier League season, 1-0 to Kiryat Shmona. 

Joseph Banda came off the bench to make his Israeli Premier League debut and play the last 22 minutes. 

Elsewhere, Emmanuel Banda was introduced in the 25th minute in Maccabi Bnei Raina’s 2-1 loss to Hapoel Haifa. 

Chipyoka Songa was a second half substitute for Hapoel Petah Tikva who played to a goalless draw with Hapoel Jerusalem. 

In the Leumit League; Kennedy Musonda’s Hapoel Ramat Gan suffered a 2-0 defeat to Maccabi Herzliya. 

Golden Mashata at Hapoel Ranaana secured a 2-0 win over Hapoel Acre. 

In Scotland; Miguel Chaiwa came off the bench to play the last 14 minutes in Hibernian FC’s 4-0 win over Livingston. 

In Saudi Arabia; Fashion Sakala scored the opener as Al Fahya played to a 1-1 draw with Katim Benzema led  Al Ittihad. 

The goal ended a seven match goal drought in the Saudi Pro League for Sakala. 

In Tanzania, Midfielder Clatous Chota Chama scored the opener as Singinda Big Stars played to a 1-1 draw with Burundian side Flambeau du Centre in the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup second preliminary round. 

Elsewhere, Joshua Mutale started for Simba SC who thrashed Eswatini outfit Nsingizini Hotspur 3-0 in a CAF Champions League second preliminary round, first leg encounter.
