World cup dream shattered!! Nigeria overrun Zambia U17

Zambia’s historic race at the CAF U17 Junior Championship painfully ended this evening after the Chris Kaunda coached boys were trounced 3 – 1 by a tactically superior Nigeria side.

Zambia went in the game needing nothing less than a win over their West African opponents to progress to the semi-finals and book a ticket to the Chile World Cup but despite a gallant fight, the best from the boys was not enough.

Nigeria started the stronger team as Zambia struggled to settle in the game in which they came with two forced changes. The Zambian lads eventually started to string passes and making in-roads in the Nigerian area with Patson Daka leading the Zambian attack.

However, just when Zambia seemed to be coming more into the game, Nigeria opened the scores from a set piece through Victor Osishen in the 35th minute.
With Zambia hoping to regroup at half time, Nigeria dealt Zambia a further blow with a second goal scored in the 45th minute through Kelechi Nwakali.

Nigeria picked up in the second half from where they ended and put the game beyond the reach of the Zambian with a third goal two minutes after the restart.

With Kaunda having replaced defensive midfielder Ngosa Sunzu for striker Pumulo Siwanga, Zambia went out to get goals but it was proving a toll order for the boys despite some brilliant displays in some portions of play and they had to wait until the 61st minute to score a consolation.

Daka showed his poacher’s skills when he lobbed the ball over the Nigerian keeper.

Despite a very positive display going forward in the second half, the Nigerians had already done enough damage and where comfortable to sit back and play on the counter.

Zambia bow out of the tournament with 3 points having lost 2 games and picked up one victory.

In the other group A game, Niger salvaged some pride when they beat Guinea 2 – 1.

With the turn of events, Nigeria and Guinea have confirmed their places in the semi-finals and booked their tickets to the FIFA U17 World Cup.

Zambia XI v Nigeria: 1. Daniel Sikanyika – 12. Alfred Chirwa (Stephen Chulu) 2. Gift Sikaonga, 4. Salati Lungu, 5. Wayne Museba, 14. Ngosa Sunzu (Pumulo Siwanga) 11. Enock Mwepu, 10. Musonda Siame, 9. Patson Daka, 18.Kenny Sinkala, 7. Edwin Chipile

  1. We Nigerians never expect anything big from our boys,They travelled to Niger by road…Many don’t even know a competition is going on in Niger…Our U-20 is our pride this year

  2. The u-17 are already following their now u-20 brothers(the 2013 u-17 world cup winning team). Watch the surprise package that the Nigeria u-20 team have in stock for next month afcon u-20 tourney…

    • Ghana ll trounced your under 20 no matter how u rate them!!

Ghana has never lost an under 20 match to naija since the inception of this competition!

Anytime, Ghana meet naija, in the under 20 level, we beat them and we have met them so many times but they are yet to pick even a draw with us!

Ghana is the most most successful Africa under 20 team of all times and we always qualify to the semi finals in all FIFA under 20 WC!!!

Continue to hype your under 20 here but Ghana ll beat them again!

  3. The u-17 are already following their now u-20 brothers(the 2013 u-17 world cup winning team). Watchout for the surprise package that the Nigeria u-20 team have in stock for next month afcon u-20 tourney…

  4. Hope our zambian friend won’t blame west Africans for this group stage exit. Some guys here derive joy in blaming other regions for the woe.

  5. @badosqi…I fear that under20 Nigerian team.I pity Africa.Just watch out.How i wished Zambia were in our grou,we will perform a double over them.At the under20 AYC,no team go chop less than 3-0 from that deadly side.I fear for Africa come March.

  6. you talk too much..you think your u 20 beating those local ghanaians means you are the best? wait as our foreign based players has arrived.aboagye, the 3rd best player in the previous u~20 wc edition is now in.remember that ghana is the only african team to win u~20 wc and we won bronze in the previous edition.we are dangerous in tournaments, not friendly matches

  7. I don’t feel like following our football anymore. This is disheartening. With Mali and Ghana in the same group as us at the u-20 you would suspect that we are going out in round 1 there to. We simply can’t qualify. Mali and Ghana will be the favourites in that group.

  8. I painfully have to agree with Ghana boy our u-20 will struggle against them. Nevertheless our u-17 should be maintained for afcon 2017 we are hosting.

  9. Gaddafi, why are u ranting about Ghana never losing to Nigeria @ under 20 level ?
Just few days ago,We defeated ghana 2-0 under-20 friendly in Tema Ghana…..Mind u,We don’t have our foreign base players like Moses somon,Solomon Theophilus,Success isaac,Chidiebere Nwakali and Last U-17MVP Kelechi Iheanacho

    • U talking about a friendly match mister!!

I know u can use the Google search engine, so search and educate yourself on this!!

In caf under 20 competitions, Nigeria has never WON A SINGLE MATCH AGAISNT THE BLACK SATELLITE!

  10. @wizkid, that nigeria u-20 team na fire.
After graduating from a world cup winning u-17 team to u-20, played against the 4 best team in the league last season and our olympic team. Thrashed all of them. 5 straight victories.
See yeye Ghanian bloating here, was it not your team my country u-2
team defeated on Wednesday 2-0 the scoreline in your country for that matter.
Flying eagles came to your country and defeated your yeye team, the same team they defeated 6-1 at 2013 u-17 tournament.
If this team can come to your backyard and embarrass you like this, think of what will happen in the tournament proper. Just wait and see Senegal 2015 is here already.

    • U just making noise here and u just a football rookie!!

U know nothing about African football and as a Nigerian am not surprised as u always haste to brag with lil thoughts behind it!!

In 93 when Ghana won its first under 20 title, Ghana defeated Nigeria enroute to the trophy!!

In 1999, when Ghana hosted it, Ghana again beat Nigeria defeated Nigeria in the finals at Accra to lift it second title!!

Come the AYC in 2009 and Ghana and Nigeria met again and as usual, Ghana BEAT THEM AGAIN to annex the trophy for the third time!!

Ghana has beaten, Nigeria in all under 20 level and naija is yet to even pick a draw!!

In south Africa, six nation tourney, Ghana again defeated the flying eagles when in the group stage!!

I want to u refute this FACT and not make hollow noise!!

In three meetings on CAF AYC, Ghana has beaten and sometimes THRASH NAIJA ON ITS WAY TO WIN THE CUP!!!!

AM WAITING FOR YOUR RESPONSE, U SMALL TIME FOOTBALL ROOKIE!

  11. @mutongo asante, that team which played the friendly were local players which most of them did not make the cut for the final 21 man squad..now our foreign based players are in..this is ghana..our u20 team whiped your national team in 2010 afcon..we dont talk too much,we do the talking on the field..you only perform in u 17 but not u~20..ask portugal, chile, usa, uruguay, brasil and england about ghana u~20..

  12. @mutongo, Abeg leave gaddafi alone jare, let him continue to bark there. What a lame excuse, your foreign base players are not available who cares and who told you that Nigeria used their foreign based players too. The star players in our u-20 team are in the respective clubs in europe and won’t participate in next month tournament likes of Isaac Success(2013 caf u-17 highest goal scorer), Chidiebere Nwakalielder brother of Kelechi Nwakali (current u-17 wonder kid), Kelechi Iheneacho(this dude don’t even need introduction) their clubs granada for Isaac and Man city for Nwakali and Iheneacho.
So gaddafi look for a better excuse. The two teams met in 2013 u-17 tourney they beat you 6-1, again they came to your country on wednesday yet defeated your u-20 boys again in your country in a preparatory match.

    • Mister, I talk football facts and not mere hearsays!!

Facts are facts and I have given u the facts and I want u to refute it or accept it!!!

Nigeria, has not recorded a single win over Ghana in all African under 20 youth championship!! Never!!

Anytime, we meet naija, we beat them and goes on to win the cup!!

In 1993, Ghana met naija and we annihilated u to win our first AYC CUP!!

Comes 1999, Ghana met naija again in Ghana, when we hosted the tournament and we beat naija in the finals to lift our SECOND CUP!

In 2009, naija was in Ghana’s group togather with Cameroon and south Africa and ghana again, defeated the flying eagles and went on to win the cup!!

These are hard facts and I want u to refute them!!

    • We ll still beat u in the under 20 and besides this is Nigeria first ever win in the under 20 level over Ghana!!

It was a friendly match but in competitive match, Ghana ll beat u as history ll repeat itself!!

When am talking about serious caf championship, u talking about a friendly match!!

Naija has never WON A SINGLE MATCH OVER GHANA IN UNDER 20 and we are waiting for that to happen!!

Just last yr, we took your under 20 to the cleaners in south Africa!!!

  13. just my observation. we overhype ourdelves. i.e we yap too much. let us sit and restrategise then see the results first. our west african friends will always be miles ahead of us, look how many players from that nigerian under seventeen team made it into europe. we can insult them day and night, but in the end they are our masters. i bet the under twenty it will be the same, their mouths and our mouths will go to senegal blazing, but wen its time to play the actual football our team, like the senior team will be tourists. and then our players will end up in psl.

  14. @gaddafi, I really don’t know what you stand to gain in this your lie ministry. Nigeria has never defeated you in under 20 tournament. Check this link for the outcome of the match between us in 2011:
    http://www.scoresway.com/?sport=soccer&page=match&id=1102430
Nigeria Under 20 defeated you 2-1.
And this is the head to head between the two teams excluding the monday and wednesday match between us:
    http://www.futbol24.com/teamCompare/CAF/Ghana-U20/vs/CAF/Nigeria-U20/?statTLR-Page=0
you asked for fact and I have provided it, Hope you are happy now?.

    • That’s was not under 20!! That win was the under 23!!

Nigeria used THEIR DREAM TEAM which is their under 23 or Olympic team!!

This is is a pure lies!

    • I have checked the link and u are confusing the OLYMPIC TEAM WITH UNDER 20 TEAMS!!

In that 2-1 win over Ghana, it was the Olympics team that was used and not the under 20 teams!!

Nigeria used their DREAM TEAM AGIANST THE BLACK METEORS OF GHANA AND not the other way round!!

If u want, proper head to head with gahanand Nigeria under 20, go to RSSSSS AND U LL HAVE IT!!

      What u presented is BOGUS!!

U have never won against Ghana under 20 except the friendlies this wk!

  15. @ stumpy you are right on that one. I’ve already seen a story in the press where lubambo musonda, our captain, says we can win the Africa youth cup in Senegal. Rather than blabbing his mouth in the press he should keep quiet and focus on the game. We risk being whipping boys after being drawn with Mali and Ghana. Mali has one of the best youth teams in the world and is consistent at this level in africa. Ghana needs no introduction. In fact our u-20 group is even harder than the u-17.

  16. @Stumpy, the work has started already for you guys keep this u-17 team together, groom them well against 2017. You are hosting no need of competing for qualification again, channel the energy needed for qualification into better things for the boys. Organise lots of friendlies for them, it could even be against african teams with good u-20 team and team that are good in cadet football(not teams like south Africa). Let Faz do this from now till 2017 for the boys and see the miracle that will happen. Constantly Playing together of the player will help them alot, they will develop together, teamwork will improve and the football administration will monitor their development keenly, unlike when the scatter around in different places where it will be hard to monitor how they are developing.

    • The link that u provided is a fake and bogus link!

U have no idea who u dealing with here and if u think, u can come here and present half baked links, then u ll be exposed!!

Again,is not any link from the net that is reliable!!

Ghana, has not lost a single CAF AYC TO NIGERIA and u better accept it!!

Anytime, we meet u in any serious AYC OR FOUR NATION TOURNEYS, we beat u and that’s the only FACT!

  17. Gaddafi and Ghanaboy, you guys are so annoying spreading lies. Nigeria has never defeated you in Under-20. What do you think is so special about you guys. You be Jesusss?
Well in 2011 caf u-20 tournament hosted by South Africa, you were in the same group with Nigeria and cameroun. We defeated you guys 2-1 in our group game and your shitty team finished 3rd. We went on to win the cup.
Making it 6 times Nigeria has won the tournament. Yes 6 times afcon U-20 champion.
African Youth Championship: Champions 6 times
    1983, 1985, 1987, 1989, 2005, 2011

    • U lying here and u have been exposed big time! Hahah!!

In 2011, it wasn’t any CAF AYC TOURNAMENT!! It was a four nation invitational tourney hosted by south Africa with a couple of European teams!!!

I remember it vividly and besides u are confusing AFRICAN YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP (20) with a mixture of under 20 and under 23!!

U don’t know your left from right with the ages!!

Caf has its AYC which Nigeria has won Six times, Egypt has won it four times whiles Ghana has won it three times!!!

But in all our way to the championships, we always defeated NAIJA ENROUTE TO THE TITLE!!

      In 93, Ghana defeated naija!!

In 99, Ghana again defeated naija in the finals!!

In 2009, Ghana again defeated naija on its way to the finals!!!

Finally, stop your boating about your six titles in Africa as Ghana is the first African champions to win the under 20 trophy sweeping all awards in the tourney!!

Ghana again is the only African nation to reach the SEMI FINALS OF EVERY UNDER 20 FIFA WC in all its participation and in turkey, we again reach the semis and were finalists in the AYC in Algeria!

      • In 2009 Nigeria and ghana never met. Cameroon eliminated Nigeria 2-0 in the semis. I’m sure the discerning world knows who is blowing hot air here.

    • Nigeria has won the cup six times but has never defeated Ghana before in the AYC!

Whenever we cross path, we beat u!!

  18. @ al gaddafi are you serious?
Go to google and type AYC 2011. Ngeria beat you 2-1 where Uche Nwofor scored the winner in South Africa.

  19. It seems we in Zambia are content with our stay in Kalingalinga,Wusakile,Misisi, and other shanties and when we just travel with a plane once,we feel like we are on top of the world. At such competitions a team need to win one and a draw then they are through to the next stage. Moreover it is their future we are talking about here and these bunch of players with the expection of a few are losers it is so hurting that I just turn my attention to watching New Zealand World Cup Cricket.

  20. It is amazing to see Ghanaian’s and Nigerians coming to Zamfoot to boast about their teams. Proving that Zamfoot is indeed a wonderful rendezvous. It is indeed a world acclaimed foot ball site.

  21. HahahahahahhahahahahHAAHAHAHAHAHA world acclaimed site…..hmm I count 4boys displaying their football history prowess here and u are seeing the whole of Naija and Ghana here….man they are only 4….and that won’t even be. enough to fill a single row in class not to talk of school and u are here saying countries are here….mcheew

  22. Is it not strange that while African teams conquer the world in age restricted competitions they have not gone beyond quarter finals at the senior world cup.

FIFA introduced the under 17,under 20 and under 23 for football development but Africans would rather shine at the “mock exam” and flank the real test.

lifting the under 17,under 20 world cup or indeed minting gold at the Olympics is exciting because it shows that you have a team capable of lifting the senior World cup in not so distant a future. But for Africa that future somehow does not come.

  23. @Gaddafi how ridiculous and shameful are you. I provided 2 links up there for to check yet you didn’t, you are here blabbing like a she-goat that is on heat.
Ok let me tutor you small, since it is obvious you have a dead brain. C af AYC is the same as u-20,
    Read this from wiki page:
The2011 African Youth Championshipwas a footballtournament for the Under-20 level national teams in Africa. It was due to be held in Libya from 18 March to 1 April. Following political unrestin the region, CAFdecided to postpone the tournament, before deciding that South Africa would be the new hosts, with games taking place between 17 April and 2 May.

    it is hosted every 2 years just like Afcon. 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019.
Now back to the 2011 edition. These are the 8 teams that participated:
    *South Africa(hosts, replaces Libya)
    *. Cameroon
    *. Egypt
    *. Gambia
    *. Ghana
    *. Lesotho
    *. Mali
    *. Nigeria
Idiot like you show me the european teams in the tourney.
Your shitty ghanian team was eliminated in the group behind nigeria after loosing 2-1, Nigeria defeated Mali 2-0 in semi final and went on to be cameroon 3-2 in final, a team that earlier defeated us in group stage. Why this is the wikipedea link to the 2011 edition.

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_African_Youth_Championship

I have provided fact with real backing showing you where to read, now show me yours. Back up your argue with links, if you can’t then shut the fuck up.

  24. What a disgusting fellow you are @gaddafi
Nigeria and ghana didn’t meet in AYC 2009. You were in group A, nigeria was in B. Nigeria got knocked by cameroon in the semis 2-0. Ghana went on to win the tournament by beating Cameroon, so how come you are claiming victory against Nigeria. Check the link below.
    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2009_African_Youth_Championship
Guy you get access to the internet why don’t you enlighten yourself well before engaging in an arguement. Mstcheeeeeew.

  25. lol, ghadafi is talking of AYC and you nigerians want to prove him wrong with 4 tourney organised by south africa.naija has never beating ghana u~20 at AYC,not friendlies and 4 nations tourney.this is simple,so stop confusing yourselves with the two

  26. @gadafi @ghanaboy, this 419 scammers can even produce boggus websites they themselfs manufacture in order to support their boggus claims.

  27. You ghanians are so ridiculous. All you do is blab on things you have no idea of. I even make the task easy for you by providing links to proof my points. Yet you can’t use your brain to do the needful.
So wikipedia is now a Nigerian sites. Now I know that I am arguing with kids and you guys are too childish to learn.
Provide the links to your arguements and proof me wrong

  28. basoqi, since the argument is about AYC,any attempt to introduce different tourney aside AYC is irrelevant.is it the AYC that you dont understand? 2011 game which we lost was not AYC but a different tourney composed of 4 teams organised by south africa..whatever you have read from that site, why dont you tell us the year and how ghana u~20 lost to naija in AYC? stop acting dull.you are engaging in a logical fallacy which states “REPEATING LIES TO MAKE PEOPLE THINK ITS TRUE”.its error in reasoning! AD HOMINEM ARGUMENTUM(attack the case, not the personality.

  29. !!—–>WOOOOOOOOOOW<—– I DIDNT KNOW THAT GHANA AND NIGERIANS COULD FIGHT FEVERISHLY ON SOME COUNTRYS WEBSITE..

WELL, WELL, WELL SO WHO WON THE FIGHT?? Kekekekekekekekekeke.
BADOLSKI , GHANABOY, AL IDI AMIN U ARE DEAD BUT STILL HERE —
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH..WELL TAKE IT KUUL BUDDIES, MARCH IS COMMING AND THE
FACTS WILL COME.. GOD BLESS U ALL..

    • Wikipedia is not a reliable news source fella!!

If u preent any link or news source from Wikipedia in any reliable PROJECT WORK, your work ll be undermine!!

Wikipedia is not a credible source and only a moron like u ll rely solely on it!!!

That 2011 tourney that u are feverishly referring to, wasn’t AYC BUT A FOUR NATION TOURENEY ORGANIZED BY SOUTH AFRICA!!!

      VERIFY IT WELL

  30. A very tough exit for Zambians, but you can’t lose hope; you should take this as a BAD TASTE in your mouth and work hard next time. I believe this is your first time in this tourney and believe me, it takes more than one album to become a music legend. There are a lot of things we can learn from the loss. There’s nothing to be ashamed of, you only becomes a loser if you don’t learn from your mistakes.

  31. Cont: A little clue I have here is, in preparations towards u-17 and u-20 do your best and play more friendlies with the west teams. Talking of u-17 & 20s specifically Nigeria and Ghana are the alpha dogs, cos Nigeria has won four world cups and Ghana has two and one u-20 world cup. However, you have to go through the west to make it to the top. I think that should be the ultimate test. There are so many intangibles you can gain from the west opponents during prep time. Good luck next time

  32. In the 2001 caf ayc hosted in Ethiopia, Ghana u20 beat Nigeria u20 4-1 in group stage. I still remember sulley muntari’s goal in that match. Angola u20 beat Ghana u20 in 2-0 in the final to win the cup.

  33. @ghanaboy and rogue assassin please go on caf site then since wiki is unreliable. Meanwhile you have no evidence to prove that you have ever beaten Nigeria at U-20 level.

  34. @gaddafi ooh now I get you wikipedea is not reliable, some Nigerians might have wrote rubbish on the page.
Now let me send you to Futbol24.com, since your IQ is too low to understand all I have been tutoring you.

All you do since yesterday is to blab, bark, cry without any proof to back up you Bogus lie.
PLEASE PROVIDE A LINK TO WHERE 2011 AYC WAS CANCELLED. or wait you claim it was a 4 nations tournament, PLEASE DROP A CREDIBLE LINK TO BACK UP YOUR LIEs, please stop crying here if you can’t proof your claim.

  36. Yes you are right Alex zz. Nigerians went onto wikipedea to edit it.

Now let us check ghanasoccernet and see what is there, maybe a nigerian went there to write rubbish
. atleast you shitholes will believe this one.it is your site

    Link: http://www.ghanasoccernet.com/lucky-goal-hands-nigeria-victory-over-ghana-at-africa-u20/

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles got their 2011 African Youth Championship campaign off to great start, defeating rivals Ghana 2-1 in their opening Group B game at the Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto.
The battle of the two West African teams was a real battle of attrition on a difficult pitch – not only was it heavy from the large amount of rain in recent days, it was also bumpy and cut-up from having three successive games on it over the weekend.
Nonetheless, John Obuh’s team edged the match thanks to a brace from striker Innocent Nwofor, though his second goal was a complete fluke.
Nigeria started the stronger of the two teams, with star attacker Ahmed Musa looking dangerous down the right flank, while the lanky Nwofor posed a troubling aerial threat.
The Flying Eagles deservedly took the lead in the 17th minute, taking advantage of some poor defending from their Ghanaian counterparts.
A cross from the right flank was flicked-on by Abdul Ajagun and Innocent Nwofor was able to fire the ball beyond the reach of goalkeeper James Achampong to make it 1-0.
The goal seemed to spur the Black Satellites into action and they got back on level terms in the 32nd minute. Right-back Richmond Nketiah crossed to the near post from a corner kick and Kwame Nsor scored with a glancing header.
The score remained 1-1 up to half time, but Nsor should have put Ghana ahead just a few minutes before the interval, skewing a shot wide of the target after Nigeria had failed to clear a straightforward free kick.
Both teams had their chances to add to the score in the second half but it took until the 82nd minute for the deadlock to be broken.
Nwofor found himself in space on the right flank and looked to be lining up a cross – the ball bobbled up off the pitch, causing the attacker to mis-time his kick, but the ball looped over a helpless Achampong and found the back of the net.
It was either the most brilliant piece of innovation from Nwofor, or – more likely – an utter fluke. Either way, it was enough to decide the game in Nigeria’s favour.

    • UMM!! BADOSKI, ARE U DRUNK OR SUMTING?? THAT ( GHANA SOCCERNET WEBSITE U REFERED DOESNT EXIST..Hhahahahahahahahahaha..

U DONT WANA LOOSE AN ARGUEMANT DUDE..COMMON BUDDY, THAT IS NOT HOW MANKIND ARGUE IN FOOTBALL..SINCE U ARE A NIGERIAN , U ( BADOSKI )

THAT IS A NICE ONE BUDDY..U CANT WIN COS UR ARGUMENTS ARE NOT EFFECTIVE..

    • U don’t know shit!!

All your links are blank and not opening!

Naija has never won any under 20 match against Ghana in AYC and besides we have totally dominated and even thrashed u!!

Go verify properly and come again!!

    • U are a retarded Nigerian moron!!

The Africa under 20 u are referring to is not AYC but it was a friendly four nation tournament hosted by south Africa!!

Even though, it stated that, it was UNDER 20 IN THE ARTICLE DOESN’T NECESSARILY MAKE IT AFRICAN YOUTH COMPETITION organized by CAF!!

U just confusing everything togather cuz your wee brains cannot understand it!!

In caf organized AYC, NAIJA HAS NEVER WIN A SINGLE MATCH AGAINST GHANA IN ALL COMPETITIONS!!

U are simply ridiculous u are placing emphasis on the fact, that, the article says it was under 20 but that doesn’t make it AYC!!

  37. @alex zz, ghanaboy, gaddafi, rogue assassin…. What is ur next line of excuse, that is the report of the game on ur ghanian site.

    • You are right my naija boy, Bodosqi .It was AYC & Nigeria beat us 2-1 in 2011. Just don’t understand why my fellow Ghanaians are trying to twist this irrefutable fact. Fact are facts & no one should try to change such facts. Just google 2011 african youth championships & the full results are there. This is what l did. Let us all Africans get off our high horses and call a spade a spade & not a big spoon (Kay Hummer’s popular quote).

  38. In the 2001 caf ayc hosted in Ethiopia, Ghana u20 beat Nigeria u20 4-1 in group stage. I still remember sulley muntari’s goal in that match. Angola u20 beat Ghana u20 in 2-0 in the final to win the cup

    • Bodosqi was talking about 2011 & not 2001. Please review & see that in 2011 AYC, Nigeria beat us 2-1. Why the long & winding argument?

  39. This is more of the same issues in Zambian football, zero preparation, zero planning, 100% expectation of success. The team arrives 48 hrs before their first game and they end up losing to a team they should have beaten, now it’s all uphill. Same with the senior national team at AFCON. How many times will we look on at the same mistakes? Either way, good experience for the youngsters.

    • Glad u are back . It baffles mind why the FA continues to make shoddy travel & accommodation arrangements. How difficult is this? Zambia losing vital points just because of these simple arrangements.
