Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Women’s League Lusaka Region side Yasa Queens hosted a Mini Tournament last weekend featuring 7 teams drawn across Lusaka and Central Province.
Lusaka Region had teams such as Yasa Queens as the host, Bauleni United Sports Academy(BUSA), Luyando Foundation, Lusaka Queens, Progress, Pataaki while Queens Academy represented Central Province.
Following a Scintillating round of matches played at Yasa Grounds, Lusaka Queens, Progress and Pataaki bowed out of the tournament with only 4 teams managing to progress to the Semi-finals which will be played on Saturday 9th November 2019 to be held in Kabwe, Central Province.
The qualified teams are Yasa Queens, BUSA, Luyando Foundation, and Queens Academy.
The first semi-final match will see Yasa playing against BUSA and will be followed by Luyando Foundation up against Queens Academy to fight for a place in the final.
All the Lusaka teams who are traveling to Kabwe are required to contribute a small amount each, this is to Carter for transport Logistics on match day to and from Kabwe with the Zambia Army coming on board by providing a Marcopolo Bus.
According to a statement availed to the ZamFoot Crew by the Tournament Organizers, each team is required to have 20 Members on Board with 18 Players and 2 Officials. Food and Beverages should also be catered for by each team.
Traveling arrangements in terms of morning pick up points will be as follows with much emphasis on observing time.
Yasa will be the first team to be picked from Bank AB near Friday’s Corner in Kalingalinga at Exactly 05:00hrs then the bus will proceed to Bauleni Basic School at 05:30hrs to pick up BUSA before Luyando Foundation who are expected to be by Duly Filling Station at 06:00hrs.
