Wins for Green Buffaloes and Kabwe Warriors 

……As Konkola Stadium matches disappoint producing two barren draws on a low scoring Saturday. 


Green Buffaloes and Kabwe Warriors recorded narrow wins as the MTN Super League entered week two of action. 

Buffaloes edged NAPSA Stars 2-1 to record their first win of the season having lost to Mufulira Wanderers in their opening match. 

Goals from Andrew Mupande and Nicolas Mulilo gave the Zambia army sponsored outfit maximum points while Pinoki Vuvu pulled one back from 12 yards. 

Elsewhere, Kabwe Warriors beat New comers Trident FC 2-1 at the Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium to seal their first maximum points for the new season. 

Godfrey Binga came off the bench to score the winner after Tapson Kaseba’s goal was cancelled out by Terry Mwanshi. 

Isaac Shamujompa scored a late goal to make sure Zanaco and Forest Rangers shared the spoils at Sunset Stadium. 

Kansanshi Dynamos and Mufulira Wanderers played to a goalless draw. Konkola Blades and Green Eagles also failed to produce any goal. 

Tomorrow the action moves to Levy Mwanawasa Stadium as Mutondo Stars play host to Nkana while ZESCO United welcome Prison Leopards on a double header.
