Chipolopolo Boys will take on Morocco this evening in a tricky 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier set for Stade Adrar in Agadir.
Coach Avram Grant is without two of his attackers Lameck Banda who is doing rehab in Dubai following his surgery while Saudi Arabia based Fashion Sakala was not summoned.
Grant will be looking to Patson Daka for the goals.
Daka has managed to score 20 goals in 36 appearances for the Copper Bullets and has been the focal point of the attack since 2017.
The Leicester City striker is Zambia’s most lethal forward and his place could prove problematic for the Atlas Lions defence.
Grant could replicate his strike partnership for the AFCON encounter between the two teams, with Kennedy Musonda joining Patson Daka upfront.
The Tanzania based striker has been doing well with Young Africans winning a domestic double.
Musonda could bring the much needed energy and pace to supplement Daka’s efforts.
The Israeli gaffer also has the option of a Cagliari youngster, Kingston Mutandwa who recently scored his first goal in Serie A.
MTN Super League winner Ricky Banda is also available for selection.
On the wings Edward Chilufya could get the nod like he did against the Atlas Lions at AFCON.
Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba on his day is a menace for defenders and will be putting up his hand for a starting slot.
China based Evans Kangwa and South Africa domiciled Gamphani Lungu are also available for selection.
The match kicks off at 21:00 hours CAT (Zambian time) and will be beamed live on ZNBC TV1.
