Zambia U17 Women’s National Team captain Blessings Zangose Zulu says the Copper Princesses are ready for tomorrow’s World Cup qualifier against Morocco.
Zulu believes the coach’s work has been done and it’s now up to the players to apply what they did in training on the pitch.
The Pataaki Girls forward says the game against Morocco is like a final for the Copper Princesses and they are aiming to score a lot of goals minus conceding any.
Zulu also urged the fans to troop to Heroes Stadium on numbers to go and support the team.
“We are very much ready. As far as I know the coaches have already done their work and it’s now up to us to finish it,” Zulu said.
“Tomorrow’s game is the final for us. We need to win by a big margin and not allow any goals. We have been working hard on the mistakes we made in the previous games.”
“To the fans, come in numbers to support us, me and my teammates are ready to fight for a good result,” she added.
Zambia will be hoping to start the two legged tie on a good note having been bad travellers in the first two rounds losing away in both games by a single goal.
Zambia last qualified to the FIFA U17 World Cup in 2014, a squad which featured the likes of Barbra Banda, Hazel Nali, Ireen Lungu, Margaret Belemu and Grace Chanda.
Tickets for the match have since gone on sale countrywide in ShopRite stores via Computicketing.
VIP tickets have been pegged at K100 while the rest of the pitch will cost K30.
The return leg is set for June 15th in Morocco.
Dominican Republic are hosts for this year’s FIFA World Cup tournament, starting from 16th October- 3rd November, 2024.
