The Zambia Super League enters week five of action this afternoon with six matches taking centre stage around the country.
The battle for the early lead and staying away from the relegation zone will intensify this weekend.
15h00 FC MUZA Vs Nchanga Rangers | Nakambala Stadium
Log leaders Nchanga Rangers will be hoping to maintain their unbeaten run and lead at the summit when they visit the Nakambala Stadium Mazabuka.
Nchanga are yet to drop points this season with three wins and a draw. FC MUZA on the other hand have a win and two draws to their name.
Coach Robert Tembo is expected to rely on the strength and prowess of skipper Christian Saile, the brilliance of Logic Ching’andu and the trickery of Kunda Nkandu to get a result away in Mazabuka.
MUZA on the other hand are not an easy opponent to crack as evidenced by their draw at Arthur Davies Stadium last weekend.
Coach Lameck Banda will bank on the likes Emmanuel Manda, Andrew Phiri, Rickson Ng’ambi and Kelvin Mwanza to propel his team to their second win of the season.
15h00 Lumwana Radiants Vs Kansanshi Dynamos | Lumwana Stadium
Lumwana Radiants will welcome neighbors Kansanshi Dynamos at the Lumwana Stadium in a North Western derby.
The hosts will be hoping to return to winning ways following their 2-1 loss away to ZESCO United in Ndola.
Kansanshi Dynamos on the other hand are hoping to build on their 1-0 win over Nkwazi last weekend which could be the turning point for the Mabanga Boys season.
Jesse Jackson Were, Ronald Kampamba and Bruce Msakanya will be expected to lead the hunt for maximum points for Boyd Mulwanda’s men.
Bilton Musonda also has a few arsenals under his belt with Musonda Siame, Richard Zulu , Pheuzzy Chibandika,Moro Amenu and Josphat Kasusu all available for selection.
Form will go outside the window because a lot is at stake in this Mabanga derby, North Western is surely divided today.
15h00 Nkwazi Vs Kabwe Warriors | Edwin Imboela Stadium
High Flying Nkwazi who have been low flying this season will continue their search for a first win of the season as they welcome Kabwe Warriors at the Edwin Imboela Stadium.
Nkwazi have only managed to collect a single point from a possible 12 and sit 3rd from bottom while Kabwe Warriors sit in 13th place with five points.
Nkwazi are however boosted by the return of ‘the buyer’ Justin Shonga who has rejoined the club five years after his departure.
Shonga walks straight into the starting line up as he leads the attack alongside Christopher Zulu and Bernard Kumwenda.
Kabwe Warriors on the other hand are looking for their second win of the season having already recorded one, beating the Champions Red Arrows, 1-0.
The magnificent People’s team are also motivated by their recent 1-0 win over DR Congo giants TP Mazembe in a friendly match.
Jimmy Ndhlovu, Akakulubelwa Mwachiaba and Clement ‘Jakuzi’ Mulenga are expected to be key for George Lwandamina’s side this afternoon.
