Prison Leopards go top as Andrew Phiri breaks Nchanga hearts

Prison Leopards have moved to the Summit of the MTN Super League table following a 1-0 win over Zanaco while FC MUZA have ended Nchanga Rangers unbeaten run.

The MTN Super League entered week five of action this afternoon as six matches came to life around the country.

Nchanga Rangers were looking to maintain their good start to the season as they made a trip to Mazabuka to face newcomers, FC MUZA.

However, Andrew Phiri netted a brace to end Brave Nchanga Rangers’ unbeaten run as MUZA recorded their second win of the season, 2-0.

At Arthur Davies Stadium, Faustin Bakodila scored a beautiful long range goal as Power Dynamos returned to winning ways.

The win means Abayellow continue their dominance over NAPSA Stars winning 13 games out of their 18 previous meetings.

In Kabwe, Francis Zulu scored the only goal of the game as the Prison Leopards added more woes on Zanaco.

The 1-0 win takes Prison Leopards to the summit of the log table with eleven points.

Wezzy Kumwenda leveled matters in the second half to cancel out an Ocean Mushure early goal as Kabwe Warriors and Nkwazi played out to a 1-1 draw.

Lumwana Radiants and Kansanshi Dynamos played to a goalless draw in the Mabanga derby. Green Eagles and ZESCO United also played to a scoreless draw.
