We working hard to make it happen – Jessy Zulu

Zambia Under-17 Women National Team striker Jessy Zulu has urged fans to turn up and support the team on Friday as they face Cameroon in the India 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.

Speaking in an interview, Zulu says the aim will be to win the first leg to ease the challenge in the return leg.

“We are equally ready, and the coaches are pushing us hard, and we are putting our best to make it happen so that we can carry the day,” she says.

“Friday’s game is a win for us. My message to the fans is that they should come and support us in numbers, we need their supporters.”

Zulu, who was part of the Cosafa Region V 2021 winning side in Maseru where she put in some match winning performances says the team raise the bar.

“It is not going to be an easy game and whatever we did in Lesotho we will make it even higher,” she says.

Zambia host Cameroon on Friday in the first leg, third round encounter in the India 2022 FIFA World Cup that takes place in October.

Tickets for the match are on sale at Omega Mall in Northmead at the Webtickets outlet.
Ordinary tickets are fetching at K20 while VIP access is at K50.

The match will be played at Nkoloma Stadium with the return leg set for April 30.

Winner over two legs will qualify to the next round where they will play either Burundi or Tanzania.
