Top Zambian Assistant FIFA Referee Diana Chikotesha has been invited for the fabled Maurice Revello Tournament 2022 to be staged in France.
The 12-team under-21 tournament will attract participation from 12 countries across four confederations and will run from May 29-June 12.
FIFA has selected 12 referees and 24 assistants for the competition set for Southern France.
Africa will be represented by three centre referees out of 12 while CAF will send six assistant referees in what is an all-female cast.
The Maurice Revello Tournament returns after a two-year Covid-19 induced hiatus and will be entering its 48th edition in its 50-year history.
Over the years, the tournament has birthed top talents like Christiano Ronaldo who was part of the 2003 edition and Brazilian Douglas Luiz who was the star of the 2019 edition.
Chikotesha is among referees that are on the FIFA roster being lined up for a litany of high-level competitions ahead.
She was part of the CAF Under-23 Africa Cup of Nations in 2019 in Egypt and has also been part of the U-17 AFCON.
