AFCON U20 winning coach Beston “Quicksilver” Chambeshi expects an entertaining and tough match against the Ivory Coast today.
The U23 national team boss believes his side need to collect maximum points no matter what.
“We are playing Cote d’ Ivoire and looking at the log where we stand it will be an entertaining match. We need to collect maximum points from this game,” he said.
“Looking at group B, it’s still open and a team can qualify, we are not looking at Cote d’ Ivoire but rather at ourselves. In football sometimes you have to use mathematics but qualifying is still in our hands.”
Striker Fashion Sakala was Yesterday ruled out of the tournament by a Knee injury and has since left camp and Chambeshi wants his players to qualify as a way of compensating him.
“Missing Fashion Sakala is a big loss for us as he is an important figure in our squad but we will have to compensate him by qualifying to the semi-finals.”
Zambia and Cote d’ Ivoire meet in the final round of group B matches at the Cairo International Stadium with Zambia only having collected a point in the first two matches.

I have lost faith in these Zambian coaches.
I don’t believe in miracles.
And this thing of “Bola na Lesa” should stop. Seems God stopped answering your players.
Lesa afwa abayafwa….
There are miracles because you for one are a miracle what makes you say you don’t believe in miracles? the answer is simply because you can exercise your neurons in your brain that in itself is a miracle but a miracle will not find you where you are you need to lift your butt and get it! These Boys need to fight like warriors period, this is one candid observation I will forever accredit to Sven He was spot on!
There is no such saying these Boys must just stop being complacent, must play with hunger and anger period.
