Chipolopolo midfielder Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba says the team is eying maximum points against Ivory Coast on Friday.
Kampamba is aware of the huge task ahead but believes the team can do the job with the fans rallying behind them as their 12th player.
The Libya based play maker wants the 2012 AFCON winners to start on high and create a lot of chances from the word go.
“We are coming from a one nil victory away in Chad and we know what is at stake against Ivory Coast. We just need the three points to qualify for the AFCON next year in Morocco,” Kampamba told the ZamFoot Crew.
“We are playing at home. So we are urging the fans to come and be our 12th player . Us as players we know what is at stake, Ivory Coast are the defending Champions but we just have to do our level best and beat them, that’s all.”
“The most important thing for us is to start on high, create a lot of chances and convert them. We know it won’t be an easy game for us but when playing at home and home games you just need to pick up maximum points,” he added.
Kampamba has urged the players called upon to replaced the injured regulars to step up and deliver for the Nation.
“It’s unfortunate that we have a lot of injuries in our team but every player called needs to show the character, the passion as the coach says. You need to come to the party every time you are called to the National team and deliver,” Kampamba said.
The Chipolopolo host Cote d’Ivoire on Friday at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola at 18:00 hours.

Cote d’Ivoire top Group G on nine points while Zambia is second on seven points with Sierra Leone third on five points. Chad are at the bottom on three points.
