Chipolopolo midfielder Klings Kangwa says the team is ready for Friday’s 2025 AFCON qualifier against Ivory Coast.
Kangwa believes everything is in the team’s hands and they just have to work hard to seal their slot at next year’s tournament.
“I think we are ready and we are looking forward to the game. Everything is in our hands, we just have to work hard as a team and give everything,” Kangwa said.
Some fans have been sceptical about the team’s chances against a star studded Ivorian side but Kangwa says the team is ready.
“It’s normal for them to doubt that’s why they are fans but for us everyone is ready. We will do our best, “ Kangwa told the ZamFoot Crew.
The last time Zambia hosted Ivory Coast was during the 2023 AFCON qualifiers and the Chipolopolo Boys emerged victorious with a resounding 3-0 win.
Kangwa says the team will need to work hard to repeat what they did last time out against ‘a very good’ Ivory Coast side.
“We will be playing against a very good team. We will try our best to repeat what we did but it won’t be easy. We have to work hard and I am sure we will make it.”
The Chipolopolo host Cote d’Ivoire on Friday at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola at 18:00 hours.
Tickets for the match are selling via Computicket in all Shoprite outlets with the prices being K50 (North & South), K60 (East), K150 (West) and K600 (VIP).
