We have all the players but just poor attitude – Chris Kaunda

Seven-time, Zambian super league champions sensational Zanaco got back to winning ways on Wednesday after they beat Napsa Stars in a Lusaka derby played at Nkoloma Stadium.

Moses Phiri and Baba Basile scored the goals for the Bankers while Jacob Ngulube scored for Pensioners in the 2-1 win for Chris Kaunda’s men in an early kick-off of a match played home away from home.

Speaking to the media after the match, Zanaco football club head coach Chris Kaunda again talked about his players’ poor attitude saying it was the reason why they lost some games citing the loss to Buildcon as an example.

Kaunda is very confident in the quality that Sensational Zanaco has but believes poor attitude affects their performance.

“We lost the Buildcon game because of attitude, that is why I did not want to talk to the media after that game cause I can’t keep on talking about the same thing over and over again, we sat down with the players and we had a fruitful discussion. Sensational Zanaco as all the good players but the problem is the poor attitude and I am sure you saw the difference in today’s game from the Buildcon game,” he said.

Zanaco started the game on a high and eventually found the back of the net in the 21st minute through Cameroonian International Baba Basile, Napsa Stars equalized from the spot through Jacob Ngulube but the victory was sealed in the 50th minute by a Moses Phiri strike.
