Zambia U-23 National team head coach Oswald Mutapa has summoned Nkana winger Fallo Manongo for the upcoming U-23 AFCON qualifiers against Egypt.
Manongo has been brought in as a replacement for injured Dalitso Phiri of Zanaco.
Mutapa confirmed the development in an interview with the ZamFoot Crew after Tuesday’s morning at Edwin Imboela Stadium.
“Nearly everyone is available. We only have an injury for Dalitso Phiri from Zanaco. He has not joined camp but in his place we have called in Fallo Manongo from Nkana. I think he has been doing well,” he said.
The team is currently in camp and has started preparations for next months’ U-23 Morocco AFCON qualifiers against Egypt.
The first leg of the decider will be played in North Africa on March 20 before the return fixture at home six days later.
Zambia qualified to the last round after beating Sierra Leone 2-1 on aggregate while Egypt held on to a 1-0 first leg win over Eswatini to qualify after a goalless draw in the second leg.
